Overview

The Batman × SPYSCAPE mobile application was designed to seamlessly extend SPYSCAPE’s physical experience into the digital world.
By tightly integrating the app with the on-site installation, the mobile experience becomes a core part of the narrative, guiding users through interactive missions and challenges.
Blending digital and physical interactions, the app enhances visitor engagement, extends the experience beyond the venue, and strengthens long-term brand connection through immersive, technology-driven storytelling.

Key Challenges

The application required reliable real-time interaction between the mobile device and the physical environment.
Bluetooth and NFC connectivity were central to the experience, demanding precise handling of proximity detection, connection stability, and device compatibility across a wide range of smartphones.
The app also made extensive use of device sensors such as the gyroscope and accelerometer to power interactive, motion-based experiences, requiring careful calibration to ensure responsiveness and consistency. In parallel, a built-in chat feature needed to operate smoothly alongside these interactions, maintaining performance while supporting user communication within an immersive, high-engagement context.
