FAQ

1
What's the difference between hiring a mobile product studio and building an in-house team?

A mobile product studio gives you a senior, mobile-specialised team on day one, without the 6–12 month cost and risk of recruiting iOS and Android engineers yourself. Pink Room has shipped 50+ apps over 8+ years, so you get proven patterns for fintech, regulated industries, and scale instead of learning them on your project.

2
Which Pink Room engagement model is right for my project?

It depends on where your product is today. Choose Zero to One to turn a new idea into aproduction-ready app, Product Strategy and Consulting to align technical decisions withbusiness goals before building, Team Augmentation to add specialised iOS or Android engineersto your existing team, and Audit and Repair to assess or rescue an app that already exists. Not sure? Tell us your situation, and we'll recommend the right fit.

3
Do you build native iOS and Android apps, or cross-platform?

Both. Pink Room builds native iOS (Swift, SwiftUI), native Android (Kotlin, Jetpack Compose), and cross-platform apps (React Native, Kotlin Multiplatform, Compose Multiplatform, Flutter). We recommend an approach based on your product needs, performance requirements, and team, rather than a one-size-fits-all default.

4
Do you work with fintech and other regulated industries?

Yes, regulated environments are a core specialism. Pink Room has delivered apps with PCI compliance, PSD2 / Strong Customer Authentication, and App Store and Play Store policy approval for finance apps, plus work in healthcare, blockchain, and logistics. We build for compliance and security from the architecture stage, not as an afterthought.

5
How long does it take to build a mobile app?

It varies by scope, but a focused first version (MVP) of a native or cross-platform app typically takes a few months from kickoff to submission on the App Store and Play Store. Pink Room starts every Zero to One engagement with a discovery phase to define the scope and provide a realistic timeline before development begins.
